Ag Pesticide Tote Handling: What We Will and Will Not Accept

Pesticide totes are a sensitive intake category. Most agricultural pesticides — herbicides, fungicides, common insecticides — are compatible with our reconditioning process. A short list of contents (certain restricted-use products, persistent organic compounds) we will not accept under any circumstances. Here is how the line gets drawn.

What we accept

  • Common herbicides: glyphosate, 2,4-D, atrazine (with documentation), dicamba (recent label only).
  • Common fungicides: most copper-based, most strobilurins.
  • Insecticides: most pyrethroids and neonicotinoids.
  • Biostimulants and adjuvants: nearly all.

What we will not accept

  • Any restricted-use product on EPA Schedule II for soil persistence.
  • Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) covered by the Stockholm Convention.
  • Anything labeled "WARNING" or "DANGER" without a complete prior-contents declaration.
  • Anything we cannot identify on the label.

Why the rigor

A reconditioned tank with traces of a persistent agricultural chemistry is a serious downstream contamination risk. The cost of getting this wrong, for the next user, dramatically outweighs whatever margin would be earned reconditioning a difficult intake. We err heavily toward rejection on this category.
